[POLITICS] Anti War think tank with Soros and Koch

Look, I dont know what to say about this. Koch and Soros have a bunch of conspiracy theories about them by the Left and Right respectively. But they are joining forces. To fifht forever war (eg. Afganistan). So... good.... maybe?

Well... its a bit of an odd partnership since it seems like a lot of the people Koch funds are pretty dedicated to leaving bags of poop on Soro's front door. But if this helps reduce the amount of endless wars we are in then even if they do profit from it, its probably a good thing.

I mean, war is costly and can ruin the stock market and the economy so super rich people have all the incentive in the world to prevent it just from a capitalistic angle.

The issue here is how disproportionate their power is compared to the average person. I don't care to thank the oligarchs for doing the right thing for once, out of self-interest.

Its kinda like people at E3 cheering when lootboxes were announced to be not in certain games. The publishers created this issue and we're supposed to thank them when they stop doing it? Please.

These two have created misery in the world and we're supposed to thank them for dealing with wars. Also, surely the easiest solutions is bigger, faster killing guns. Particularly if it's one sided. So I won't be suprised when that happens

War in the area where you have business interests or live is bad for business. But a one sided war where your side is overwhelmingly powerful versus some poor tiny nation that you weren't going to get any money out of anyway? Well that is just a great way to sell uniforms, food for soldiers, guns, bombs and all the other parts of the military industrial complex.

I have absolutely no faith in the good intentions of billionaires.

Koch mainly have business in oil. If the oil fields in Iran are up in flames and the price of oil is 200 bucks per barrel, I'm sure it'll hurt their business.
