Scorn Release Date Set for October 2022 with New Gameplay

Scorn release date confirmed for October Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022

Scorn got more gameplay during this year’s Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, but more importantly, developer Ebb Software confirmed a release date of October 21, 2022. If you’ve been keeping up with Ebb’s nightmarish first-person body horror game, you’ll know what to expect with today’s new footage. Scorn has been in development for nearly a decade, so it might have been a bit surreal to finally see a date to put down in your calendar.

As for that gameplay, it looks like Scorn might be even more twisted than we thought. Bodies tumble and ooze blood in the footage, and the otherworldly creatures we have yet to encounter aren’t exactly in the best shape either. Ebb hasn’t been shy when it comes to showing H.R. Giger’s influence in its work, but that is especially clear in the release date trailer. You can watch more from Scorn in the gameplay trailer below.

Ebb’s work on the game has been bumpy, to say the least. While long peeks behind the curtain helped with the wait, delays did not. Though the plan to launch in October has been set in stone for some time now, it’s nice to finally know when we can play Scorn on PC, Xbox Series X | S, and Xbox Game Pass.
