Game Freak is an amazing company and they deserve all the dollars and votes. "Papers, Please" is even disliked by the creator now. Tells you a lot. Probably because he doesn't want to be the Vanilla Ice of video games. He wants more hits that his first one.
"Who would have ever thought that a game about being a border patrol agent checking passports and detaining those trying to cheat the system would be so engrossing?"
I don't know maybe when we get a game that fits the description we can find out.
On a more serious note, Papers, Please is a fairly good game, but it's not the messiah that people are trying to make it out to be. Is it fun? A fair bit. Is it innovative? Making a game like that fun, sure is. Is it noteworthy? Absolutely. But there comes point where things get out of hand. That it beat Bioshock: Infinite and almost beat The Last of Us a few months ago was that point, this is just silly.
Come on Pokemon, I know you can do it! :D
