How to Get the Steel Net Gun by Upgrading the Small Net Gun in Dave the Diver

To unlock the blueprint for the Steel Net Gun, you’ll first need to use the Small Net Gun a few times after you get it from the weapon caches. After that, you’ll need to craft it in the Weapon Store and proceed to upgrade it to a Medium Net Gun, then to a Large Net Gun, and finally to a Steel Net Gun.

That’s how you can get yourself a Steel Net Gun in Dave the Diver to use to gather tons of fish at once and enable you to tackle the big fish with a regular weapon!

The Steel Net Gun can catch up to seven fish at once in Dave the Diver. Since it can even catch tuna and marlin, this gun is ideal for quick fishing and works exceptionally well for special events. For example, if you have an event where dishes made with tuna sell for substantially more than usual, you’ll want to gather as much tuna as possible, but it can be limiting having to wait for the Steel Net Traps to become available in the store. Enter the Steel Net Gun, capable of being used multiple times and refillable with ammo deposits. You’ll be able to capture tons of tuna. Just make sure you upgrade your salvage drone to be able to do multiple extractions of the large fish as well. That said, the Steel Net Gun doesn’t work on all types of fish.

For example, it has trouble with most sharks. You should probably pick a different weapon if you intend to catch thresher sharks, megamouth sharks, or any other shark from the glacial area. However, it works on longnose sharks.

Still, the Steel Net Gun is unmatched when it comes to catching groups of smaller fish, stargazers, crabs, marlin, and tuna. The Steel Net Gun shines during tuna events. Tuna dishes sell for more money during these periods, and you can catch a bunch of tuna with the Steel Net Gun.
