Game Theory: What are Minecraft Creepers?

What are Minecraft Creepers?

Minecraft is STILL one of the hottest games out there, and yet the Creeper, the game's mascot, is still a walking mystery. What is this Minecraft menace? Why does the Creeper explode? And why do Creepers always explode around ME? Well, Minecraft Steve, prepare yourself because it's time we figure out the truth of this walking green time bomb!

You make a convincing argument, even the term 'creeper' is often applied to plant tendrils or particular species like the Virginia creeper. Perhaps the gunpowder you can pick up is or contains the spores, a mutualism since you get the benefit of the gunpowder and also held spread the creeper spores far and wide?

Isn't this like....2 years old by now?

Like...This was on GT's youtube AGES ago!

Still a great theory and I back it 100% though.

Something's wrong with the video player. The video stopped playing and did that "loading" thing in the middle, even when it was already fully loaded.

They don't post new videos here, these are always old.

But that's just a theory, a game theory theory.

One heavily backed by evidence.

Sphagnum is great for a slow burn but it can't hold a candle to natures gunpowder, Lycopodium clavatum spores.

The only correct response is that the Creeper is neither a plant, nor a case of spontaneous combustion, but a Nihilist. Evidence: he drops gunpowder if you kill him before he explodes, but not otherwise, which indicates that it is something that he carries on his person. The creeper's utter disrespect for both nature and your own creations point to a destructive mindset; but let us not forget that whatever he destroys, he also ends up destroying *himself*, for he denies himself the power to destroy without simultaneously atoning for his destruction. The Creeper, in other words, flips Christianity on its head, by not sacrificing himself for the sake of the world, but rather by sacrificing himself for the sake of its destruction; yet in both cases the striving for transcendence is unmistakable.

The Creeper, in other words, points out the futility of the world, or rather, of its world, the world of Minecraft, of your creations in that world, and by extension, to achievements in a computer game, to computer games themselves; it is the personification of what would happen if your computer crashed beyond repair, each and every file on it lost to posterity and subsisting, only, as a fleeting memory, with, as your only vestige of that memory, a keen awareness of time that you will never get back.
