8 Games We'd Love to Play in Virtual Reality With virtual reality finally coming to fruition, it's time to think about games we'd like to use it for. These eight are some of our favorites.
I agree with Pokemon and Silent Hill. Never played Mirror's Edge, so no idea. I do know Yahtzee says jumping from a 1st person perspective is obnoxiously hard, so I'm hesitant. But you know what would be hardcore? Hotline Miami is VR! Lets see if people actually get PTSD from throwing boiling water in a mans face then disemboweling him with a hunting knife.
What? No lightsabers? No X-wing vs Tie fighter? Come on, if there was any game that was made for VR it is any Star Wars game, heck even that SWTOR would be improved with lightsabers and shooting and generally blowing things up.
More specifically, he says first-person platforming is difficult because in most first-person games you don't see your own legs and thus don't know for sure where you are going to land, which is not the case with Mirror's Edge.
Dishonored had an enjoyable art style? Wat. Anyway, I'm pretty sure any frickin game would be more awesome in VR.
Why did I not think of lightsabers?!?! What the hell is wrong with me?
Who in their right mind would want to play a VR Silent Hill!? That creepy Amnesia-esque corridor walk of doom with the Oculus Rift was scary enough :(((
The Metro games would serve well, I believe.
They evidently really like money more than artist experimentation. There certainly is a sickening amount of cash in those saucy endeavours.
You know what I really expect? Shopping. Imagine a shopping-mall obsessed person with access to explore a VR mall without leaving home. Talk about your impulse buys.
Silent Hill in virtual reality? Sorry, but no. I'm happy enough living without suffering from post-traumatic disorder. Thank you very much.
Forget going to get it. You drop it in your virtual shopping bag, and when you finish shopping, you just hit buy and your card is charged and everyone is shipped to you automatically.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent Mass Effect Elder Scrolls Myst games Ethan Carter Deus Ex: Human Revolution
I imagine people would spend days doing nothing but rubbing their pokemon in virtual reality and stuffing them with cupcakes.
