He doesn't write his own one liners.

I wonder if his sisters were older or younger...

Hopefully they got the brains in the family or else... Eesh.

No matter how much character you've got, you can't escape the OTHER rule.

Yep, that sounds about right. Pretty much every game of Fire Fight I've ever played, summed up in a comic. :P

Oh no, he gave to many details to fast! They tried to go with that overused tactic of giving you a characters life story up front and killing them in front of yours eyes to get you all emotional and vow to take revenge on their killer, and once again IT DIDN'T WORK!

I had a feeling that's what was going to happen. It seems like the last time this actually worked on me was with Eli at the end of a particular games second DLC. Probably the biggest reason why I want that particular game to have a third release.

Never mention the family back home; if you're lucky you get a flashback to them, but speak of them to anyone on the battlefield and you've painted a target on your forehead.

Poor, poor Alex. He was only three days away from retirement.

Eh, I'm liking the comic.

I wonder who that guy is. Could we ask him if he's seen the protagonist?

Dammit, I was hoping Pendable would make it :(

Masterchief Lego edition!
Lol, nicely done!!!

And yes, a great entrance :P

Nice helmet. Reminds me of that widely shitpanned game Haze.

Erin doesn't like faceless macho protagonists? But I thought she liked games! :)

Alex Pendable .....Al | ex Pendable ..... All expendable.

Yep, seems about right for that guy. Also, I'm pretty sure that the Tuesday comic played into him being the "token Black guy" that seems to die right out of the gate in practically every movie, video game, or book ever. That is why she was like not happy to see him truly when he took his mask off because she knew instantly that he would be the first to die.

Love how Rad is still as giddy as ever for the situation, even when someone is smashed into bloody pulp right in front of him.

His younger sister is named Vilde Pendable, sources say she got most of the good genes.

Alex' older sister became a nun and changed her name to hide from the shame her brother brought to the family. Now she's Nun Ex-Pendable

Nope he had all the brains you can see them there under that pod.

OH MY GOD! HE KILLED ALEX! YOU BASTARD!
Wait, is that guy walking out of the pod the real Player Character? I thought that was Erin, but she's in the shuttle with the other inevitable cannon fodder (come on you can see it coming), so how can she be playing oh crap my nose is bleeding.

It wouldn't be the first game where you play as a different protagonist while another one from a previous game was also in it.

Odd that he would drop into the game out of a porta john though. ;p

Also, good joke about "one ups". Sorry Rad. Wrong game.
:/ RIP(Rest In Paste), Alex.

I see they got the Helldiver guy to do their pod dropping

Wow. Death by drop pod. That's a new one. Ah Alex Pendable. We barely new him. Perhaps if he hadn't been telling us about himself out in the open where a drop pod could land on him.

That's Agent Maine in Green Armor....

I wonder if he has the strength of 30 bears like the legends say.

No you fool! Large info dumps about your life at the start are for the guys that die to give the protagonist motivation!

Well hey, at least he didn't have a wife and a new born baby waiting for him at home and he wasn't one mission off retirement.

Looks like someone's been taking lessons from Sgt. Johnson.

Aw fuck... AND he played Bluegrass?!

Other than that, for some reason, the game titled Rad's Radical Rodeo came to my head for some reason...

So, Erin's just one of the regular "grunts"? Cool! I always liked stories where the PoV character wasn't the "protagonist", shame there isn't more of them...

I really wish I had the funds to contribute in a more meaningful way, but for what it's worth, you guys are awesome. Even when I'm feeling down or too worn out to appreciate things properly, your comics make me smile. Erin is one of the most compelling characters I've come across in any medium, and I'm an English major. I'm really glad you've started releasing more content and I hope you choose to continue. Your work is admired and appreciated.

Grey, did you seriously think your unorignial joke was so good that you ran it into the ground for two stripes?

Like, Jesus Christ, it's the oldest joke in the book and you thoght it was a good idea to repeat it a thousand times.

What can I say? I like stripes.

Allright, this next piece of info may be way over your head, but I'll try to explain it slow and simple.
Say with me "Erin is insane"
I think that should explain a thing or two about her.
Heck, most probably she isn't even playing any game, but rather swaying back and forth in corner, while hallucinating and foaming through mouth and other orifices

other orifices? ~shudder~ euch. Can't get that image out of my head now... Thanks... XD

Yes, yes they do. I would even like to see this extended to games where a drop-pod would be completely out of place. next time I'm playing a high-fantasy RPG and someone is waffling on about fate/destiny/saving the kingdom - Splat! - Drop-pod descends, and out steps Spiderman.

Having an established and fleshed out life and behaviors gets you killed? Being a rounded character is fatal?

No wonder Erin is still alive.
