Sigh, i feel like i have flashbacks whenever someone mentions Martyrs.

Thanks for that.

I watched rubber on your recommendation back in the day and I wholeheartedly agree that it's great. However...

That seems like a strange choice for a horror list. I suppose it kind of works but it seemed more...satire isn't the right genre but it certainly had fun with the premise. But I suppose that's just, like, my opinion man.

I shall have to see if I can check out any of those others. If they're as entertaining as Rubber was, it'll be a good time.

Rubber is the only movie on this list that I've actually seen (been thinking about watching a couple of the other ones, probably will now). I actually loved Rubber, but I can see where someone wouldn't: it's a very post-modern movie in the most obnoxious sense of the term. Still, it's hard to beat a self-aware tire that kills people with its mind. And that ending, oh man.

I'll avoid martyrs; I remember the last time I saw a movie like that just a little too vividly to do it again. I was hoping for some movies that were obscure gems rather than obscure because they aren't quite horror most of the time.

Not a bad list, with a one for me to ponder seeing!

I agree that Ginger Snaps is an excellent movie, and I think it's one of the best werewolf movies ever made. Great story.

I wouldn't put Martyrs on such a high pedestal personally, but it was more disturbing than most.

Rubber was hilarious, and twisted, and a genuinely unique romp.

I might check out Creep, as I haven't seen it, but it is on Canadian Netflix.

As for American Mary, well, I'm personally not as interested in non-supernatural psycho/slashers, and I haven't seen this one, so I can't really comment. Probably won't see it, either, but to each their own.

Martyrs is actually in my queue of horror movies that I will be watching tomorrow.

I've heard things about that movie, and I'm pretty curious to see what happens. I will have to check the other ones out at some point, especially Rubber since that's another one I've heard things about.

All but two of those films I haven't seen yet... Interesting...

Other than that, Creep sounds to be a slightly better movie than The Midnight Meat Train, which I kinda ended up liking afterwards...

Thank you! I forgot the name of the film Creeps until now! I was talking about that film to my bro when I was over London last weekend and he mention how it was impossible for someone to get locked in the subway.

The only ones of these I've seen are Ginger Snaps and American Mary, and the common factor - Katherine Isabelle - is comfortably the best thing about both.

Martyrs is fucking phenomenal, everyone should watch it

I loved Ginger Snaps as a trilogy. Also, Emily Perkins is a plus for me. Something about that pale skin and greasy hair...no seriously.
