So, that's actually a lot longer than the Thriller video, huh?
Never heard of this before, but then again, NL didn't have that much of a lasting hippie-culture.

And here I was expecting a movie about killer turkeys or some such. :P

Great work as always! Cheers and happy Thanksgiving.

Thanks! You too ^^

I watched this for a film class, and wow it's an odd mess. It's a valuable film for no other reason than shedding insight into the era. Like one of my classmates said, "Today, Arlo and his friends would have been the villains for dumping trash in the woods."

Tone wise, it's all over the place. It goes from lively politically-themed comedy to a cultural indictment on hippies quickly at the end, all the while throwing in strange sad bits like Arlo visiting his father in the hospital and one of his friends dying in an accident.

In all, it's not a movie I'd recommend for anything besides a gaze into an age past for an understanding in the American Film Renaissance of 1967-77.

Never knew this song had such history to me it was the song my dad and mom tortured me with every Thanksgiving when i was a kid.
