Keep an Eye on These Upcoming Indies in 2016

As good as we've had it with indies in 2015, given what I've seen of next year's lineup, we may be able to keep the momentum.

How is Hyper Light Drifter not on the list or does Kickstarter related games doesn't count as indie?

Apparently rogue-lite is the default genre for indie games at the moment, while open world is the standard for AAA games.

Time sinks galore!

I'm not entirely sure these are coming out in 2016 (or that they are all Indie) but they are still worth keeping en eye on:

M.O.R.E - 4X game.
Predestination - 4X game.
Gnomoria - Dwarf fortress light&like with "better" graphics and UI. ,)
Rimworld - Cross between DF light and a Colony Sim.
Unclaimed World - Colony Sim.
Everspace - A rogue-li(k/t)e Space sim. Think 3D FTL with third person view cam.
Endless Sky - 2D Space sim.

Is it out? Can't tell! :
The Spatials - A Space-Station building and Colony Sim cross.

Might be a bit later than 2016..:
Galaxy of Fire 3 - Space sim with third person view cam.
Unbended - Isometric Action RPG.

Wow M.O.R.E. is still in development? Was part of the first kickstarter but kinda lost it from view.

Didn't realize gnomoria was still in E.A., it's perfectly playable. Although I do hope they include a bit more end game content, making a giant castle doesn't really interest me (especially since it end up being less efficiently design than the open simple open cave).

As for the article list, been keeping an eye on most of them. Played a bit of darkest of dungeon and loved it initially but it got a bit stale. Your character don't gain new skill so it feel like you play the exact same way at the beginning and at the end of the game. Adding some branching decision to leaving skill would be very nice.

No battlebrothers? Tactical RPG set in an early (speak no plate armor) med evil feudal setting where you control a band of mercenarys working for different noble houses/cities/merchants who all have their own agendas that often clash with each other plus having to fight the forces of evil in form of the undead/goblins/orcs?

Beautifull looking with solid gameplay, definatly worth checking out:

Yay..more rogue likes.

I was looking forward to playing 20XX until I saw that word.
