13 Hours - The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi - Michael Bay's Military Fetish ... Pays Off?

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi sees Michael Bay make a movie about soldiers shooting up bad guys. Isn't it odd we haven't really seen this already?

ANOTHER Michael Bay film?
THANKS, Obama!

Seriously?
Eh, I think it's amazing at how low my expectations going into this are going to be.
Probably going to end up seeing it with a group of friends just to laugh at MB doing his MB thang.

Why are Jim and Roy hanging out together when there's no Pam in sight?

Thats good to hear. While I enjoy a good military film I was going to ignore this because I couldn't help but wonder how politically preachy it was going to be and the Election coming up feels too coincidental. There was a big deal where the Tea party was buying up tickets to "American sniper" and doing church drives to make everyone see it because it makes some dig at Obama or whomever.

It didn't really jive with Bay who is pretty open trying to remain non-political in his films outside of being overly patriotic.

I still doubt I will see it. This just isn't the kind of movie I would pay to see. I just don't care for Bro-merica films. I don't loath their existence, it just doesn't interest me. I'm more interested in military films with some depth like Sicardio, munich or Syriana. Blow stuff up sure but at least give me something to chew on.

Sicario is a military film? I guess.... there is military in it... But Syriana. Come on, man. That's some kind of weird hybrid evil-corporation-spy movie. The military shows up in it for like what - 2, 3 minutes?

As for Munich. Eh, I thought it could be better, but it was interesting.

AMERICA! FUCK YEAH! COMING IN TO SAVE THE MOTHERFUCKIN' DAY YEA!

I'm kindda disappointed the movie didn't take a dig at the bullshit that went down there. Not a dig at Democrats or Republicans but at how the situation was handled...
>Soldier's Creed "I will never leave a fallen comrade."
>Airman's Creed "I will never leave an Airman behind"
>United States Coast Guardsman Creed "I shall sell life dearly to an enemy of my country, but give it freely to rescue those in peril."
>Ranger Creed "Never shall I fail my comrades."
Ect.

We had a duty to do everything to support our people and our government failed them, left them to die. Sometimes the best messages about war come from war porn al la Black Hawk Down, just seems like a wasted opportunity.

Anyway, if it's a solid shooter then I'll prolly see it.
