Fist Fight - No Class (School Pun)

Fist Fight could easily wind up being the worst attempt at a comedy this year.

Awwwww....it looked hilarious too (or maybe that's just my love of Charlie Day blinding me).

All well, I'll just stick with Sunny in Philadelphia I suppose for my Day fix.

I love Charlie Day and Jillian Bell, but it kinda feels like those two comedic actors aren't showing a bunch of range... maybe it's just directors saying "just do what you do in Always Sunny!" I guess some people are typecast for a reason. The jury is still out on Bell, I think.

Del Toro seem to deal with it best in Pacific Rim, mixing up his manic hijinks and making him a new, memorable character.

Disappointing.

Seeing the ads for this, I thought it would play out similarly to another school movie I saw once where the timid teacher learns that there is an entire organized Fight Club-style underground fighting ring for staff that he's invited to participate in because despite disliking violence, he's actually very good at it. It starts to interfere with his classes and family as he gets addicted to the adrenaline rush until he gets an intervention towards the end. Can't remember the name, though.

I know it sounds ludicrous but was worth a few chuckles, unlike this one.

Is it better or worse than Monster Trucks?

Both are terrible but I'd probably rather re-watch Monster Trucks.

Wow...just...wow.

I mean, unlike most of the people in this comment section I actually thought it looked pretty bad from the trailers (not saying I expected it to be 0-star flatline bad)...but to say you'd rather re-watch Monster Trucks over this? Good god...

I think that begs the question then:

Would you rather re-watch this or Mall Cop 2? :^)

This one's 3 minutes shorter (according to Wiki running times), so it.

Hehe, and Paul Blart remains King of Shit Mountain.

Somehow I'm not exactly surprised by your answer. :P

It looked fucking stupid to me, so not unexpected.

I can't help but think that Kevin James is reading this, and shouts out; "YES! Paul Blart 3 is safe!"

I was hoping this would be decent.

There is no better high school fight movie than Three O'Clock High.

"Don't fuck this up Mitchelllllll!"

Hadn't even been aware of this one's existence till now. The synopsis is an immediate turn-off anyhow, but the execution sounds remarkably poor...Is this maybe another Jack and Jill perhaps? Am wondering if there's any other (more logical) reason for the movie's purely vapid presence.

The premis reminds me of the bully episode of american dad. But much less good.
