New Destiny 2 Multiplayer Trailer Puts the Spotlight on the Crucible The newest Destiny 2 trailer focuses on the game's competitive multiplayer. There's a brand new Destiny 2 trailer out today, and it's giving gamers their first close-up look at the Crucible - the game's competitive multiplayer. The Crucible is a 4v4 showdown with multiple game modes. All multiplayer PvP modes in Destiny 2 will be 4v4, the trailer looks at 3 multiplayer modes, Control, Countdown, and Survival. Control involves holding points, while Countdown task one team with defending an objective and another with blowing it up, sort of like Counter-Strike, and Survival is exactly what you'd think - outlasting your enemies. Destiny 2 is headed to PS4 and Xbox One on September 6. If you're on PC, you'll have to wait until October 24 to get into the game.
4 vs 4? Why so few players?
4v4 only because fuck it let's get rid of vehicle combat entirely this time amiright?
Im sure they have said why previously, but if I were to take a guess, I would say that it is because the game got a little too crazy with so many supers going off at once.
