Rebecca Mayes' New Album The Out Fall Out Now

Rebecca Mayes, the songstress from England, released her latest album today featuring her song reviews of Halo and StarCraft II.

There's not really a category that fits Rebecca Mayes. She makes quirky music and she plays videogames, and somehow combines those pursuits into something wonderful. Her videos can be found here on The Escapist, but for those of you who want to take Rebecca Mayes' music with you on the go, you can download her latest album now. Dubbed The Out Fall, the album features 11 tracks that Mayes wrote, played, and recorded herself, with some production help from Ed Woods. Some of them you might recognize the songs from Rebecca Mayes Muses, but there are also 2 bonus tracks including a special remix called Death and the BassShip.

Head over to Rebecca Mayes' website to purchase The Out Fall. You can download it there for £9.99 (or $15.79 for us Yanks) and the site accepts most major purchasing options. Sadly, wampum is not an option.

According to Rebecca Mayes' Twitter feed, many of you have been clamoring for a digital recording of her love song to our own dear Yahtzee Croshaw and grabbing The Out Fall is now your chance. While you're there, consider picking up Rebecca's other albums, The Epic Win and the EP Songs from the Garage.

I'm happy that she's able to release those albums ^_^.

I hope she's doing ok over there.

I was begining to worry, we seem to be hearing less and less of Mrs. Mayes of late and in my eyes that is a shame.

Will the song from "The Machine" be on any albums? I quite liked that one.

Great. But I haven't heard alot from her anymore, beginning to question if she still likes doing it.

Also, is the song available on iTunes? Thanks!

Great! Ill get this
Havent heard anything from her for a while =/

Does she have to pay licensing fees to the various companies for using product and IP names? This is definitely a fine line to walk between "Fair Use" and Copyright Infringement. And if I've learned anything from the internet, it's that companies like to sue people if they even think they have a chance of making some money.

Congratulations to her for getting an album out, but as for me? I think I'll pass, thanks. I've never been much of a fan of her music. Or, in fact, any reviews in lyrical form.

The machine is on The Epic Win album.

I would like to post what i really think about her, and her music and about this article - But the new webpage guidelines forbid everything i have to say....

But hey, she released an album. More than i can say ive ever done.

Thanks for the album, I'm really enjoying it. I'll give a more detailed review later. But thought I'd answer this...

She only has one more video for the Escapist before she stops doing them to concentrate on her non-video game related album. :(

See info on her blog:

I wish her luck. Her style of music isn't something that I enjoy but alot of people on here seem to like it.

Is it just me, or does the female voice in this song sound a lot like Rebecca?

OT: Big fan of hers. Look forward to the new non-video game stuff!

I thought the Escapist fired her. She just disappeared. Hadn't seen a video in weeks. Or maybe she decided to surf to Oz and stalk Yahtzee. I don't know. Change upsets me.
