Nintendo is publishing the follow-up to Bayonetta.
Hot on the heels of its Wii U launch announcement, Nintendo revealed that it would be publishing Bayonetta 2. The follow-up to Sega's 2010 action game Bayonetta will be exclusive to the Wii U console.
The publisher didn't reveal any more information about Bayonetta 2, so it's not known when the sequel will actually be available.
Stay tuned for more Wii U launch info and game announcements, as we continue to cover Nintendo's press conference.
Well, that's a surprise. Still, I'm not likely to get it on launch. My game quota for a console is 12. I'd be shocked if it actually gets near that on launch.
Not buying Bayonetta 2. Loved the first game sure, but not enough to make me waste $300 on what Nintendo still sadly sees as a worthwhile gimmick. The game lineup still is weak as hell (OOoo the easiest, weakest Monster Hunter title is getting a Wii-U release! /sarcasm). Motion controls still haven't sold me (I just use a classic controller when possible). And wow, 8 gigs of memory...
As for this? No information about the game, or how they are going to jam motion controls and second screen into a hectic hack-and-slash response-heavy game (if it's even going to be that now). I'm thoroughly unimpressed at the moment.

If it weren't for Nintendo this wouldn't have even happened, the game was cancelled before Nintendo picked it up again, why the anger?
Fappy: And then you go and announce software. Now I'll look like a moron in the last thread >.>
You and me both. I commented, then watched the live stream where they said that in the span of November March they would release about 50 titles. The second before he said how many titles I was just rolling my eyes at him when he said that Wii U would have the strongest launch library in Nintendo's history.

What?
not trying to stir contention here, but I think it has more to do with the fact that people wanting to play this hardcore game will be forced to purchase the new system from Nintendo of which they have already written off
but I'm guessing that wasn't your point lol so never mind I'll shush

ITs a WiiU exclusive. Thats where the anger is comming from.
Liked the first, but not enough to care about a sequal. So not really bothered on way or the other.

50 titles?! Holy shit!
Granted, a lot of these will be ports from the last gen (360/PS3 titles), but even still. God damn.
It's not Nintendo I hate, it's exclusivity. Very few games honestly "must" be exclusive, most of these ones probably being PC games of some variation. I just dislike the idea of a publisher taking a game that many people know and love and just slapping an exclusivity thing on it. Plus, it seems like there's fuck all else coming out on Wii-U and while Bayonetta is bloody brilliant it won't be worth getting a Wii-U for.

I'm not "hating" them for releasing a "hardcore" title. I just said they still haven't even sold me on the worth of motion controls as a consoles sole focus. Throwing in Bayonetta 2 isn't going to fix that either. And like I said, Bayonneta is a hectic, and rather fast, hack and slash game with plenty of chances to screw you over royally if you don't react fast enough, so I don't see any way they can add in meaningful motion controls and tablet uses for the game, specially when its whole focus is on said crazy-fast combat.
I'm only really hating on the lack of any actual information. This is a name-drop only, and only idiots will get excited over something as simple as a namedrop. I want some actual substance.

Actually that was exactly my point. They barely know anything about the console but they've still already written it off as for those "filthy casuals" despite the fact that what little we do know (release of games such as arkham city and Bayonetta 2) seems to suggest they're trying to attract that hardcore audience back. In other words, its people hating on nintendo for the sake of people hating on nintendo.

Keep in mind, how many of them are actually going to get out of Japan?
And to the people hating it because it's exclusive: So what if it is? Even if it wasn't exclusive you would almost certainly be needing to buy a new console to play it at this stage anyway. Just be happy Ninty are listening to what gamers want.
Captcha: "marry me" ...Oh shit. It's not just self-aware now, it's tying to infiltrate the human race and take us down from the inside! Everybody RUN!

I'd think most of them. Nintendo seems to be shifting their focus on the US with the price point and early launch.

Yeah, even with ports that is quite a lot. I wonder if they can actually stand up to this because it seems like a stretch.

50 games on launch window (until march).
EDIT: And people hating it because it's exclusive? Let me tell you while. The game was canceled due to no funding. Nintendo came and gave all the money they need to make the game with just one request. Make it a Nintendo exclusive. Sorry, but I don't see any rational reason for asking it not to be a Nintendo exclusive. It's like asking Halo or Uncharted to be a Nintendo title.
Also, the 50 games where announced by Regie. So I assume that all the games will come to the US.
>Terraria comes to consoles >PC Gamers mad >"lol PC gamers are elitist/entitled brats"
>Bayonetta 2 comes to WiiU >Console Gamers mad >"WTF BLOW ME NINTENDO FUCK YOU PLATINUM"
I wonder how 'exclusive' this will turn out to be, I can see it being released on other consoles later on maybe. Although this is still quite surprising.
It's good that the WiiU has the attention of third party developers.

Yep, I love the severe hypocrisy coming from all the anger about this announcment.
I am all for the Wii U getting exclusive, but fuck off if they're sequels to multiplatform games. First Rayman Origins sequel and now this. :/
Yeah! Fuck Nintendo for letting sequels to two underrated games be made! Fuck Nintendo for saving a cancelled game that you all wanted! Fuck Nintendo for trying to shake off their casual, kiddy image that you all want them to shake off! Fuck 'em! /sarcasm
Oh no, they're not going to fool me that easily! Sure I want to play it but it gonna take MANY games for me to continue to go with the Nintendo route after they decide to focus the casuel gamers for the Wii.
