This Humble Bundle is Double Fine

The Humble Double Fine Bundle offers Psychonauts, Brutal Legend, the Broken Age Kickstarter and more, plus the tastiest promo trailer ever, delivered by Tim Schafer himself.

If you're a fan of Double Fine Productions or even just suspect that you might be, you're going to want to put some eyes on the new Humble Bundle. This time around it's the Humble Double Fine Bundle, and as is right and proper, it leads off with the classic action-adventure game Psychonauts, a coming-of-age tale about a young boy's fateful trip to summer camp. Also on the menu: the less-famous-but-ever-so-yummy Halloween RPG Costume Quest and Stacking, a fresh and unique adventure in which you stack with other dolls to change your abilities and solve puzzles.

All three games can be had for any price you want to pay - that's right, if you've got a nickel to throw at Tim Schafer, you've got three games. But there's more! Paying more than the average will also net you a copy of Brutal Legend, the heavy metal RTS that recently came out for the PC (and that will set you back 20 bucks if you buy it through less humble channels). And for $35, you can get in on Broken Age, Double Fine's Kickstarter Project, as a "slacker backer." Brutal Legend and Psychonauts also come with soundtracks - Psychonauts actually has two!

As usual, you can divvie your green up between the developers - Double Fine in this case - Child's Play, the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the good Humble Bundle folks who make it all happen. It's a heck of a deal, and it's good for you too! And how can you say no to that trailer? You can taste the value!

The Humble Double Fine Bundle is available now and runs until May 21.

I already have 2 or 3 copies of Psychonauts, when will I get Brutal Legend for $1?

(Also, 2nd time first today. Where are you people? What am I missing?)

well ive been meaning to play brutal legend for a while, so.... yoink.]

in a side note more keys for the steam gods,

seriously my steam profile is bloody huge thanks to the humble bundle i dont know if i should thank them or hate them, its just so depressing seeing games that you dont have time to play on your list.

Yea, tell me about it.

Edit: On topic, I really can't tell if the awkwardness in the video is them not being terribly good on camera, or if it's trying to replicate the same feeling from late-night infomercials.

Either way, it succeeds at the latter beautifully, but they may have done it too well.

Damn. Thought I was gonna get Brutal Legend for a buck.

the only game on that list that I already own is Psychonauts, so I will definitely be buying this.

you could say this is a Double Fine deal. well that pun sucked.

you win.....

i only got $1002.24

(id rather not post my id around randomly myself)

if they add The Cave I'll get it otherwise I don't care

Had Steam for about 3 days now, got 6 games installed and spent around... £3.17.
I'm very happy so far! Just hope my new laptop can keep up...

If I hadn't got Brutal Legend on steam like, a week ago, I'd be straight on this.
But I did. So whoops.

If I didn't already own all of the things that can be attained for the amount of money I have to spend this week (about $10) then I'd be all over that.

BUt I have them all already. Sorry Tim ): you can't has my money now. But I will get your next game when it's out.

I already have Stacking, Brutal Legend and Costume Quest for the PS3, but I have to admit this would be a pretty sweet deal. I loved how purposefully stilted this "infomercial" was. Didn't know Tim Shafer could be such an awesome horrible actor.

Mad looking-to-the-side-of-the-camera skills, there. XD

I think I'll wait a bit until that average drops a bit more (yeah, I am that cheap), probably around 5$. Brutal Legend is cool and all but it drags on for a bit and the gameplay is less then great. I honestly only plan on getting this because of Psychonauts but it would be nice to have the entire collection (dont care much for Broken Age)

I already own all of them, but Brutal Legend...I'm gonna pass.

I already own all of these. Yet, somehow I must give them more money.

It's intentional for sure, Schafer's always seemed pretty comfortable goofing around on camera and has only gotten more so whilst Two Player have been there for the Kickstarter, documentary and Amnesia Fortnight

Wait, a bundle from Double Fine?

Fucking. Sold.

So, do I just throw my money at the monitor, or how do we do this?

Bam! $35 gone, just like that.

I would love to get this. The only game I have from it is Psychonauts (can the extra copy be given as a gift?). But the problem for me is the payment methods... Damn.

Damnit!... I have Psychonauts, Brutal Legend (XBox and Steam) AND I backed the kickstarter... Might get it for Costume Quest and Stacking though...

Why isn't The Cave in the bundle? Perhaps they're simply planning on adding it in later...
I am in a bit of a pickle. I want to buy the bundle for Brutal Legend, however it was published by Electronic Arts. I loved Psychonauts and I already own Costume Quest, but is Brutal Legend worth it? I've heard that it did not work out that well because of the strategy elements. Are those elements more refined in the PC version compared to the console version?
One last question about Double Fine: Is Tim Schafer the Johnny Depp of the video games industry? Zany, insane, and explosively awesome?

Oh and one final note: I learned from wikipedia that Pirates of the Caribbean 5 is due out in 2015. Oh joy...

Disregard...they jammed Psychonauts, Stacking, and Costume Quest onto one key...

EDIT: Claimed within seconds by a cool person. No puffer fish was involved.

The Cave will probably be one of the "by the way!" games you get for going above the average after a few days. In regards to Brutal Legend, I'm pretty sure Schafer bought the rights back from EA (like Psychonauts was bought from Majesco), otherwise EA would have none of this "pay what you want" business. The PC version is improved, though it does have a couple bugs that I hadn't experienced on the console. The RTS situation is much better though. If you like heavy music or Jack Black, you simply must play it on that basis alone.

Tim Schafer is more awesome than Johnny Depp. I wouldn't give Johnny Depp my butt virginity.

DrunkOnEstus:
snip

You still have Brutal Legend? I'll take if it's fine with you.

EDIT (For the third time. x-D)- Thanks for the game. :-)

OT- Yay, good games! Pity that I cannot stop my backlog from growing this fast, I need to work. T.T

Yeah, I guess Depp wasn't the best example. Thanks for the help! OH and I would pm you for that brutal legend copy, but I think I'll pay for the bundle for the soundtracks. I love how they include the soundtracks in their bundles!
PS so does that last part mean you gave your butt virginity to Schafer?

I like how they do that too, but I never end up listening to OSTs. I can love the soundtrack while I'm playing and have favorites, but I never load up the MP3s to listen without the game. Oh, about Schafer? I didn't, he never called me back.

My position exactly. But I think I'll get it for the soundtracks.

I got Psychonauts and Costume Quest already, but I think I'll go for Stacking and Brütal Legend regardless. Psychonauts especially just has been part of Bundles and sales way too often already to not have picked it up years ago.
