Marvel Reveals Daredevil Logo, Cast Coming to NYCC ![]() First Marvel Netflix series get comics-accurate logo, NYCC cast signing Ahead of a big cast appearance/signing at New York Comic Con on October 11th, Marvel Studios and Netflix have revealed the notably comics-styled logo for Daredevil, the debut series from the superhero-factory's much-hyped collaboration with the streaming giant. Created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett in 1964, Daredevil is a superhero who, blinded in an accident as a child, uses his ultra-heightened remaining senses to achieve superhuman feats and fight crime in New York's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood - where he also lives and works as attorney Matt Murdock. The series is the first in a planned set of four Netflix-exclusive franchises, which will also include vehicles for Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Alias: Jessica Jones. The plan is for the four series to ultimately tie-together into a miniseries event called The Defenders. The NYCC event also includes a Daredevil-centric panel and a poster for the series drawn by Joe Quesada. Though not confirmed, many expect the first footage from the series to debut there as well. I've got my fingers crossed so hard for this to turn out well. I love the character and if DD doesn't turn out well then the whole series is going to be in a very bad place. | |
