The Elder Scrolls Online Dark Brotherhood DLC Launched Today

Bethesda has released the newest DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online, titled Dark Brotherhood.

Fans of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will have the chance to return to a familiar locale in The Elder Scrolls Online courtesy of the newest DLC: Dark Brotherhood. The Gold Coast was the home to the infamous assassin's guild, and now your character can join.

You'll not only get to explore the Gold Coast, you'll get to fulfill assassination contracts, try out the all-new Assassin's skill lines, and earn a slew of new items.

Bethesda is showing off the new DLC with a new trailer that largely consists of people being assassinated, which honestly seems about like what you should expect.

While the PC and Mac versions of the DLC are live today, the PS4 and Xbox One release date is June 14, 2016. Dark Brotherhood is included with an active ESO membership, or can be purchased for 2,000 crowns through the game's crown store.

I keep forgetting this game exists.

The Gold Coast was the home to the infamous assassin's guild, and now your character can join.

And so to, presumably, can a million other players. I suspect the DB are going to get several hundred thousand new members and a lot of NPCs are going to get assassinated...then respawn for the next player to assassinate them...and respawn for the next player. How many Listeners are there going to be?

Wait, you mean the base game didn't have the iconic assassinations guild, nor another variant like the Morang Tong? And it's just being added now? Like, 2 years into release?!

...WOW that's just not right...

It lacked the thieves guild too. As fun as the game is, the pvp stuff and how its set up made it clear the people they hired for the new studio thats behind the mmo didn't really understand TES that much.

They made much better looking character models though. I'll give them that(that and I do genuinely enjoy the game when I play it).

*SPIT TAKE*

WAIT WHAT?!

The most consistently fun guild in the series wasn't in the game at launch? By the nine...

They had to take time to make that three faction pvp and reducing half of cyrodiil to a pvp zone after all(the imperial capital got reduced to being just a dungeon in a dlc and I forgot if it was also made into a pvp zone in the same move). Nothing left for the thieves guild or dark brotherhood. The only guilds that were in were the mages guild and fighters guild IIRC.
