Public Beta for Mortal Kombat XL Available on PC
Mortal Kombat XL heads to PC after all.
In January, it was revealed that Mortal Kombat XL - which bundles Mortal Kombat X with Kombat Packs 1 and 2 - would be releasing for consoles only.
However, an "enhanced online beta" notice for Mortal Kombat XL has popped up on the game's Steam page. The notice states that the beta will run through Monday, August 29 at 10am PT.
The brief announcement states that participate will help "test improved online gameplay and more."
Last month Ed Boon conducted a Twitter poll in which players were asked what Mortal Kombat announcement they'd like to see - and with more than 10,000 votes logged, the result was a Mortal Kombat XL PC port. "We hear ya," Boon said when he shared the results. Then earlier this week, he tweeted out a not-so-subtle message with selective capitalization, which came out to "MKXL PC."
Shows that some developers do listen to their fanbase. It's a bit late, but I suspect they probably did that partially on their own before confirming it.
Have a cookie and a gold star. Or whatever you think is a good reward for doing something that nobody expected to happen despite wanting it.
Either way, I'll get the XL release on PC as soon as possible, that I can say for sure.
Let's see if it works. MKX on PC was more of a mess than Arkham Knight.
Well, credit where due; they listened.
Hopefully they take the time to do a proper port.
I mean, cool and all, but it's a bit late. PC players have lost faith in your shitty treatment of them, Boon.
Besides, I just want you guys to make an official version of Terrordrome.
when i heard about it the first time, i was happy to play alien at least. even when the port wasnt good. but after a good upgrade of my rig, the game ran like a charm. anyway; they have said that it will be only available for consoles only. now, im not even excited about it. havent played the game for some time now either.
