Looks Like Sega is Teasing a Vanquish PC Port Again
Looks Like Sega is Teasing a Vanquish PC Port Again Sega has tossed out another little tease that seems to be pointing to a Vanquish PC port. A couple of weeks ago, Sega released a tiny patch for the PC version of Bayonetta that added an avatar that featured the protagonist of Vanquish. As you might imagine, this quickly led to speculation that a PC port of Vanquish could be on the way. That speculation will only grow today, as Sega has released what looks to be another tease. Over on the Sega Europe Twitter account this morning, you can find a post that is just this image: ![]() Yeah, that's the patch that you see on the armor Victor Zaitsev (the main antagonist) wears in Vanquish. It's the logo of the Order of the Russian Star. Of course, when you see the "2017" up in the corner, you can't help but think that we might see a PC port sometime this year. Hopefully, Sega will clarify something soon, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a few more teases before Sega finally confirms something.
*Squeeee* | |
Finally, gonna have an opportunity to try this game out
Never bought the original, I'll gladly pick up the Port if it comes out.
Oh man I want this. I played Vanquish back in the day, loved the hell out of it, but haven't been able to find a copy since.
I WANTS THE PRECIOUS! | |
How was the Bayonetta port? As quality projection.
It's just as great as the Wii U port with extra resolution and screen options. The only bad port of Bayonetta 1 is the PS3 version. Sega, do it now! Show the PC crowd the best cover shooter ever made.
Strongest memory of the game, is hiding behind a wall, while a small army of mechs barraged my position... and when I flicked out a half smoked cigarette, they all as one started tracking and firing on it, which allowed me to launch a rocket into the middle of them to pop an achievement.
Well that would be nice. Now all they have to do is release it seven years ago when I might've cared.
Small clarification, the anti aliasing options do not work, but the game looks fine without them and rendering it at a high resolution or using down-sampling alleviates that issue, it has great input configuration allowing for mouse and keyboard, but with it being locked at 60fps it's better to play with v-sync enabled, and thus a controller to avoid the input lag that setting brings with mice, playing without v-sync can cause stutter at a 60 lock, something small of note, all cutscenes pre-rendered or in-game are locked at 30fps, but gameplay is always 60. I'm very excited for it, but i'd be very cautious about this port.
Oh hey like they're launching PSO2 outside Japan-waaaait.
Here's to hoping. Never got a chance to play Vanquish originally, so it would be welcome.
I'd be happy if they fixed the broken Steamworks integration with Bayonetta.
Still waiting for a trilogy.
I think part of the problem is licensing issues. Considering that they have a ton of content from anime.
