and its coming out next month while on steam will release in december.

Its about Damn Time!!.

Cant wait for PC release next month

Hopefully its not gonna be a broken game at launch because of poor porting optimizations.

Wait wasn't this announced like a year ago?

Mods are incoming in three, two, one...

I am all for mods in games, but I'd hate to see any modern-themed vehicles in RDO

I'm sure I'll play it for a few hours with some heavy mods to just fuck around.

I hope this somehow leads to them updating the GTA series already on PC. I'd love to play Vice City and it work, or play GTAIV without downloading a defunct Xbox program.

I'll probably get it at some point but I find myself kinda lukewarm on it. I'm sure its good, but I have more then enough games at the moment, what with Destiny 2 just releasing on steam and it actually being pretty awesome.

Still no Red Dead Redemption 1 on PC, so they can get stuffed.

Also get ready to download yet another games launcher... I hear the kids are all about those these days

Took them long enough. These days I hardly ever even touch a game unless it's available on PC, probably Steam, and even then for half off. When it gets on Steam (which I hear is like a month after its on every other digital game store in existence fortunately) I might just make an exception.

There was evidence of it likely being a thing found in the game files, but nothing was ever officially announced.

And as far as I can tell no port of the first game either. I still have to play that before I can get into Red Dead Redemption.

Well now I'll actually play it. So that's good.

I'd love it if there was an Outlaw bundle where the original game was remastered and included. It would make perfect sense to jump right into that one after finishing 2.

Except for a Delorean. Or a train Delorean.

Are you sure? I vaguely remember seeing screen shots not long after first release

Cool. I'll play it again in 1st person. It's a good game, I'm glad more people get to play it. I wish they finally ported the first one too.

Nude horse mods! They were already naked, but now they're nude!

Wait for the Steam release.

Can't wait for the mod that gives your horse huge anime tiddies.

That shrink in the cold.

Specs and improvements for PC release.

Cool, I won't need to upgrade to take advantage of them. But I'll be waiting for a price drop, since I'm still enjoying the hell out of the PS4 version; especially the online, surprisingly. Just finished the Outlaw Pass and now have enough gold bars to try out the bounty hunting. What's nice is that all three roles (the other two being Trader and Collector) can be played however you like. They all have their own unique set of rewards too, and help flesh out your place in this more personal, more customizable half of the game's world.

Officially, but there's been evidence leaning towards a possible PC release for a few months due to certain details found in game files. In any case it's a good thing, and we can only hope the original game makes its way there too.

I wanted a RDR1 port so badly back then.

Now after having played my share of these open world type games, I can't be fucked to bother with this one. Does it do anything particularly different from your usual map of disconnected random activities and side distractions + an ultimately linear main plot that doesn't really utilize the open world?

Well there's no way around the fact that Rockstar is telling a very scripted story in terms of not being able to deviate from specific mission tasks, but everything else is pure Wild West fantasy fodder. That's really where most of the fun is, and dare my typically multiplayer-averse arse says it, especially online. The story mode is chock full of little details and more content than you'll probably ever see if you care to look for it, but online you really get to dig in and customize your very own outlaw persona. We've also all heard of "fashion Souls", but I think RDR Online takes it to a whole other level. The Outlaw pass is well worth it for the extra stuff, and it's easily attainable by just playing.

I started getting into the Bounty Hunter role and with the gifts Rockstar has been dishing out lately, got a nice discount on a Breton horse with this sweet looking saddle.. The nice thing about online gear is it's tied to tokens which are acquired through playing the game. That way griefers can't just buy the best gear and have an advantage right out the gate.

Anyways, here's a shiny new PC trailer.

There has been talk of it a lot, but like I said, this is the first time that it's been officially announced. You can't know for sure until it's been officially stated by Rockstar.

Looking forward to curling up with this one on a snowy day with a mug of tea.

You should be very pleased with the opening chapter then, for maximum immersion.

Some more details on how the PC version plays.

Sounds like FPS view especially should be a blast. I'd love the reloading action of the double action weapons to be mappable so I can put it on a side mouse button too. Actually if nothing else, I suppose I could have it as a secondary shooting button along with LMB!

So, it's already begun. Therein lies the catch-22 of PC gaming, where pretty much anything is possible. On the one hand there are mods, but on the other it can start veering towards a sideshow mockery. Is it too much to ask to simply let the game be as intended for at least a week?

Having said that, I'm still chipping away at Chapter 6 on the PS4 version but ended up pulling the trigger on the discounted Special Edition in the 11th hour last night, because experiencing this game again in top form with kb/m support is too good to pass up. Also got LA Noire *free* out of it, but would've really preferred a surprise RDR1 enhanced edition...HA. Someday, perhaps.

In between the issues many people are having getting it to run smoothly, there are some impressive results.

For example, some really nice looking images from photo mode and check out these water physics.

Some references for getting the game to look and run well.

A messy launch is always disappointing, hope performance gets cleaned up soon. At this point I'm just going to let things get smoothed out and wait for the Steam release.

Yeah I got my driver updated but haven't even booted it up yet. Only knee deep in the console version's Epilogue 1 as it is.

Really curious about how differently it plays on PC though. Definitely wanting to play in first person. I have a feeling I might just be using the PC version for photo mode though, considering I've spent so much time towards 100% completion already, and don't care to deal with the chaos of PC for the online side.

There have been some amazing shots on Reddit so far. Kinda like this one in particular.
