MK11 Joker gets a much needed makeover

Now let me put an actual thumbnail:

And it is an improvement to how he looked in the Fighter Pack trailer:

You know what it means now that Joker is in Mortal Kombat? We can do this to him:

What Batman should have done ages ago.

Yeah that's one thing that always bothered me about the comics. Joker and whoever else can run amok committing horrendous crimes against humanity and the Bat just goes, *slap* "You will pay for what you've done Joker...behind bars!! Aaaaand then of course he ultimately breaks out to do it all over again for the nth thousandth time.

Well not anymore, Mr. Joker. I guess the joke's finally on you!!

Having said that, I never really made it a point to see all the fatalities against one specific character, but might make an exception in this case. The original Joker design would actually be more entertaining in that respect though.

Well it certainly was in Injustice:

You see it in the game as well:

Ok, what am I missing? I watched the old trailer and the new one, and I can't tell the difference. What didn't they change?

Its the nose and chin

Well, they certainly didn't show that in the game is what I meant. I'm not at all familiar with what's gone down in the actual comics though, so there's that too. It's pretty sad that kinda stuff is in the comics but not in cinema.

Wow, those are extremely nominal changes; even toggling between the two pics (thanks for the links, hanselthecaretaker,) I can barely notice. Were people really bitching about this, enough so that the devs felt the need to change it? It's a fighting game; you won't even be able to notice such minor details during matches. Besides, the Joker has so many visual iterations in the myriad media he appears in, one could almost argue he lacks a "correct" look outside of his lithe build, green hair, white face and the signature smile which itself ranges from face paint to scars to facial deformity; his nose and chin were wrong? (Also, his bangs are facing the correct direction now, thank God; THAT would have been the real deal breaker...)

You can thank Disney for that with the Marvel films and the sheer negative reaction to how dark and violent Man of Steel and Batman v Superman is.

The thing is the older one just looked way too young, like its some 20 year old cosplaying as the Joker.

The redesign is small but effective. He has wrinkles on his forehead, his nose is a bit pointed, etc.

Like there's a reason why the initial design from the reveal trailer is met with this comparison:
